MS 150 Magical Mystery Bike Tour 2006

I will be participating in this event in memory of Mr. Ed Kelsey. Diagnosed with MS in his late 20’s and lost his battle at 66 years old in late April 2006.  Even though he was miserable and suffering, he got up at 4:00 am in the morning, got dressed and made it to work by 7:00 am.  He was always willing to help anyone with questions and had the “never surrender” attitude throughout his diagnosis.  His last 15 years were spent in a wheelchair and the last 6 months were in a hospital unable to move and take care of him self. He was a dear friend of my Aunt Joanie and helped and supported her throughout her career as a government employee. This event will be my most challenging event in my cycling career as I have never done 2 back-to-back century rides. However, it is pale in comparison to what Ed battled through in his every day life. His determination, drive and courage in fighting MS will keep me motivated to achieve my objective with my Cyclo-CORE team mates.
